GETTING TO KOMIŽA

Getting to Vis Island is easy, with multiple options available to you. You can take a ferry from Split, which offers regular daily routes, or opt for the catamaran for a faster trip. Private boat transfers are also available for a more personalized experience.
Whether by sea or private charter, getting to Vis is certainly part of the adventure!

SPLIT

Split is Croatia's second largest city and is the gateway to the central Dalmatian Islands, serving as the region’s main transport hub. With frequent ferries and catamarans connecting it to numerous islands, including Vis, Hvar, and Brač, Split makes island-hopping easy. Its well-connected port and proximity to key destinations make it the perfect starting point for exploring this beautiful coastal region.

Split International Airport is serviced by numerous carriers operating from many European and regional hubs and also enjoys many flights from a number of international destinations.

JADROLINIJA

Jadrolinija is the Croatian state-owned ferry service with a fleet of over 55 ships.  During the summer season, their ships make over 600 departures per day. Although Vis Island is serviced by 3 daily ferries in summer, it is advisable to book tickets in advance, particularly if you wish to drive your own vehicle on board. Tickets can be purchased at the Jadrolinija booth at the Ferry Terminal or online via the Jadrolinija website or the Jadrolinija App.

VIS ISLAND ARRIVAL

All ferries and catamarans arrive at the ferry terminal in Vis town on Vis Island. On arrival you have multiple options to transfer to Komiža which is 10km away. Private taxi's are available however there is a coach shuttle option which is very efficient and reliable. The coach, which costs around Euro 4 per person, is parked right outside the ferry terminal. Tickets can be bought from a booth across the road from where the coach is parked.

RIBARSKA BEACH VILLA

We meet our guests on arrival at the ferry terminal or at the bus stop in Komiža - we would have been in regular contact prior to your arrival to make firm arrangements to meet our guests.
Ribarska Beach Villa is a less than 3 minute walk which carries you through the small but delightful town square and onto Ribarska Ulića (Ribarska Street) from where we take our name. Ribarska Ulića is the main pedestrian thoroughfare through Komiža.

For guests that have taken a self-drive option, please note that there is no parking available on-site, however there is a public parking area nearby - approximately 5 minutes walk. It is recommended that luggage is dropped off near the coach terminal as it can be a difficult walk down steep cobbled alleyways.
