Vis Island is located in the Adriatic Sea, about 45 km southwest from Split. It is the closest of the Dalmatian Islands to Italy.

Split, with its well-serviced international airport is the gateway to the central Dalmatian islands. The ferry to Vis takes around 2 hours.

Biševo is located southwest from Split and is accessible by boat, the easiest option is from Komiža harbour

Vis is the main city on Vis island and it is where all ferrys and catamarans arrive and depart. Komiža is about 10km to the west and the road trip can take around 30 minutes - the drive is particularly beautiful, especially as you crest the mountain and descend the serpentine road into Komiža

Komiža is a traditional Dalmatian town with a fascinating history and beautiful landscape. It is surrounded by mountains and the open sea which makes for spectacular scenery

Most tourist and local activities in Komiža are centered on the Riva which is the old stone promenade running in front of the town. The red star in the image is where Ribarska Beach Villa is located - you could not be better positioned !
